how ox bile helped me post-cholecystecomy

After I had a cholecystectomy (my gallbladder removed), I kept having intermittent pain in my right upper quadrant, right under where my right rib was.

It felt like spasming. It sometimes felt tender like I was being punched repeatedly.  My doctor suspected Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD.)

Then I found the magical ox bile!  Typically, bile is produced in your liver and stored in your gallbladder.  However when your gallbladder is removed, you may have trouble digesting fats because your bile storehouse is gone!

By taking ox bile before every fatty meal, I have been able to eliminate that nagging pain!   I started slow, as I always do with new supplements and worked my way up to 500mg. I found I personally needed 500mg before a fatty meal to be pain free.  I can eat certain foods without needing it, so it's all about experimentation to find out what works for you.  I love the iOS app called "My Symptoms" where you can track food intake, supplements and any symptoms to see if there is a pattern.  You can even email your food/symptom log to a dietician or doctor.

Once you have your gallbladder removed, it's so important to support your liver.  I will be writing more about liver support soon.

I had my gallbladder removed in 2018 . About a yr later while standing in line at a store I thought I was having a heart attack. Pain started near my stomach and felt like it was radiating up through my throat .
Having been under a lot of stress I thought well this is it .
I popped a omprezole in my mouth drive straight to nearimest clinic. I walked in and told them I thought it was my heart .
Long story short it was my stomach.
I started trying to lose weight . Doing Keri. Big mistake
I have had two of the same. Attacks my still is all messed up as well.
This is hell living like this
So I am gonna give ox bike a try
